La Macina di San Cresci

“Artists are interesting creatures. We can be obsessive, dedicated, spirited and single minded in our pursuit for that perfect realisation of our art. We tend to be outsiders and are often that square peg in the round hole, so when you find an oasis like San Cresci you hold on tight -- for it’s that sense of belonging which welcomes you.”

When I go abroad I am so inspired by the past and the buildings. I have spent time in Florence, Siena, Venice and Portugal ,Japan, Germany. My focus is color, light and relationships to things seen in different light.

I have studied painting since I was a child. I studied art in high school and always dabbled in painting and drawing while raising my family.

As time went on I taught art in several summer programs. I also taught an after school art program called Art through Nature. I loved using different mediums to show children the beauty of life using stone, shells, fish printing with inks and several other methods.
