I am a composer-performer. Piano is my primary instrument, but I also play and write for other keyboard and string instruments. Additionally I am a voice actor and an award-winning playwright. I am classically trained in piano performance and music composition, but have recently gone beyond the “classical art music” repertoire by producing and performing performances that address social justice issues through music and spoken word. Due in part to my participation in multiple art forms, I produce works that integrate spoken word, music, soundscape and body movement.
I was educated at the Educational Center of the Arts in New Haven that was affiliated with Yale University, Harvard College of Harvard University, The Juilliard School and finally the State University of New York at StonyBrook. My experiences include being a USIA Artistic Ambassador to Europe, Africa and the Middle East and a Fulbright Scholar at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary. I have also been awarded multiple grant awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities
